SASSAFRASS

Sassafrass is a pretty little thing with a neat color, cute markings, elegant and feminine built. She’s got a gorgeous head and the sweetest expression that mirrors what’s going on in her mind-- she not only has a pretty face, but a pretty attitude that matches it.

When I say Sassafrass is a trainer favorite, I’m not kidding! Our trainer Kenny says that it’s been his personal mission to try and find anything that bothers her-- motorcycles, school busses, semi-traffic and other urban-type obstacles, plus the usual “boogers” like tarps and other scary stuff you could find on the trail. Sassafrass hasn’t batted an eye at *anything.* She’s one fearless little go-anywhere, do-anything kind of molly! Another thing that sets her apart from the crowd is her eagerness to please-- affectionate, without being too pushy about it. Sassafrass picks up new things fast, but also retains them as well. She lays down on command for mounting, and is already working on mastering gait changes AT VOICE COMMAND.

SPATS

If you’re looking for a good natured, uncomplicated family mule, you should come out and meet Mr. Spats!

He’s got so much going for him, it’s almost as though he were custom made to be the kind of mule an entire family can enjoy. Many mules out there tend to pick their person and bond tight -- most are truly “one-person” mules. Spats, however, just likes people in general! He’s happy, confident, consistent and uncomplicated with lots of different riders. Can you say “family pet?” You can turn him out to pasture for a couple months if life gets hectic, then when you take time for yourself, catch him up and he rides right out as if he’s been ridden every day.

Although he’s not tall or bulky, Spats packs a lot of power into his compact frame, and has enough “get up and go” to please someone who likes a bit of speed, while also being easy to handle. He has a short lope and doesn’t get strong or overeager if you do run him -- he comes right back down and settles back in. His running walk is nice, too. That being said, Spats has a but his crowning gem is his smooth Smooth SMOOTH flat-foot walk! He’s a real trail riding machine that you can just relax and enjoy-- he can keep up with the faster gaited horses or mosey along with the slowpokes.
